Hi! I’m Julie Wrocklage, LPC, NCC, owner of Quiet Strength Counseling.
More than likely you are familiar with what it feels like to exist in spaces and relationships in which your identity is not acknowledged, respected, understood, or celebrated. This is the exact opposite of what I want you to experience in therapy.
Even when the focus of therapy is not your LGBTQIA+ or BIPOC identity, it is absolutely essential that you know (without question) that your therapist is supportive, affirming, and educated about the things you’re experiencing as a member of a marginalized group.
At Quiet Strength Counseling, you can expect to receive inclusive, respectful, affirming mental health care. You are safe to be yourself with me. While I am queer myself- as a cisgender, white woman- there will likely be experiences you’ve had that I haven’t. I hope you’ll feel comfortable talking with me about them. And when I get something wrong or miss the mark, I hope we can talk about that too.
