Parents 4 Parents is a community for parents and adult family members of LGBTQIA+ identified people of all ages. The group is free and open to all who are seeking support, education, discussion, and community. Parents 4 Parents is an affirming space for LGBTQIA+ people and offers understanding and support to those who may be struggling with or striving to embrace their child’s identity.

Meets: 2nd and 4th Tuesday of every month, 6:30–8:30 p.m. at The Center Project. And now on Zoom the 3rd Monday of every month!

Join us at The Center Project when Parents4Parents host special guest, Mel Constantine, as they discuss their dissertation: Grieving the transgender (assumed-cisgender) child: Gendered mourning, the harms of cisnormativity, and the possibilities of creating livable trans futures. After a short presentation, there will be a discussion and Q&A. As many of you know, in addition to being a PRISM coordinator, Mel wrote their dissertation after attending P4P meetings for 4 years and interviewing many of the parents. So Nov 15 will be both a discussion of Mel’s research findings and a celebration of the completion of their PhD! Please join us! (Please note that this is not a regular P4P meeting and everyone is invited to attend!).
