Here at The Center Project, there are many ways for you to get involved. We have many programs available for you to choose from. Take a moment to check out what we have to offer!

Parents4Parents

For: Parents & Families of LGBTQIA+ People

Parents4Parents is a community for parents and adult family members of LGBTQIA+ people of all ages. The group is free and open to all who are seeking support, education, discussion, and community. P4P is an affirming space for LGBTQIA+ people and offers understanding and support to those who may be struggling with or striving to embrace their child’s identity.

In Person Meetings: 2nd and 4th Tuesdays, 6:30pm

Prism

For: LGBTQIA+ youth 11-18 years old

Prism is an LGBTQIA+ youth group for ages 11-18 years old. Prism offers fun and educational programming, resources, support, and mentorship focused on LGBTQIA+ middle and high school aged youth in the mid-MO area.

In person Meetings: 1st & 3rd Thursdays, 6:00-8:00pm

Gender Blender

For: Transgender & Non-Binary Adults

Gender Blender is a social and supportive space for transgender and non-binary adults to connect, have fun, and access resources. It is a community-based space providing a welcoming, affirming, non-judgmental place to meet with other trans and non-binary adults.

Rainbow Family Alliance

For: LGBTQIA+ adults with children

RFA is a group for LGBTQIA+ people who are parents to connect and socialize.

Lesbians Over 60

For: Lesbians over 60

Lesbians over 60 is a new TCP Program that hopes to make connections between lesbian seniors in the community for fun, information, and support.

Troop 626

For: ages 11-18

In 2019 TCP was one of the first LGBTQIA+ centers in the country to charter a Scout Troop of 11-18 year olds. In honor of marriage equality, the Troop took number 626.

Pack 21

For: Ages 6-11

TCP has chartered a new Cub Scout Pack for youth ages 6-11. In honor of our new home, purchased in 2021 and the opening of Locust Street Expressive Arts, we chose the number 21. Pack 21 is always open for new Cubs and Parent Leaders.

Caregiver Support Group

For: Support for 50+ folks who are caregivers

Volunteers from our community plan to start a LGBTQ+ Caregiver Support Group. The group is designed for those over approximately 50 years of age who are caring for parents, partners/spouses, and friends. It will meet at TCP and be lead by facilitators familiar with aging and caregiving. The meetings will focus on sharing of experiences and resources.

Rainbow Readers

For: Monthly LGBTQIA+ Book Club

Rainbow Readers is an LGBTQIA+ book club that will host a get together once a month at TCP.
